I have been busily designing two new Aluminium Workshops and transforming my Wiltshire studio into a suitable teaching space. I’m so pleased to finally be in a position to offer you jewellery workshops again, and throughout 2017 I hope to add some more to the mix.
All of the workshops will be held at The Studio at Lynwood in Farley, Wiltshire.
Read on to find out more about both workshop options.
If you are interested in any of the workshop dates or would like to discuss a one-one or group workshop please email email@example.com
During this taster workshop you can create a unique piece of jewellery in colourful anodised aluminium. Students will be introduced to a host of colouring and decorative techniques. There will be plenty of time to experiment and explore the material before focusing on a final piece of jewellery.
Dip-dying, painting and drawing, and the use of simple resists will all be covered during the workshop. You will learn some basic jewellery making techniques and cold connections to complete a bangle, pendant or pair of earrings.
Basic materials costs are included in the course fee and additional materials will be available to buy on the day.

Since 2003 I have worked on projects with schools, colleges, galleries and community groups. I have also worked as a visiting lecturer for degree courses in jewellery, metalwork and textile print. Since 2004 I have taught private classes from my studio for small groups or individuals.
I work as a jewellery maker, selling and exhibiting throughout the UK and further afield. Over the past fifteen years I have researched, experimented and developed new techniques for colouring anodised aluminium. I have a passion for sharing knowledge and have taught jewellery making for over ten years. I am the author of the book ‘Coloured Aluminium Jewellery: design & make’.
Each course provides a good grounding of the basics and introduces students to a range of techniques and processes, giving an insight into the practice of jewellery making.
I work with students in groups or one-one and devise a programme which will suit the individual to ensure development in both learning and confidence. Advice and guidance is provided about buying tools, books and materials, for those students who wish to further their learning.
groups or one-one
These workshops provide an opportunity for focused learning or simply a chance to get together with friends and learn something new! Workshops can be based on either silver or aluminium jewellery making and will be tailored to suit you.
