Oak Leaf Brooch - Peridot

Made for Goldsmiths' Fair 2024, this large stylised oak leaf brooch is an illustrative take on the forms seen on my woodland walks.

Comprised of patterned aluminium, hand-screenprinted with colour, framed in the dark tones of oxidised silver, the leaf features a speckling of pale green faceted peridot stones, bezel set and recessed within the layers of aluminium. The hollow form construction makes this brooch light on cloth and comfortable to wear.

Sterling silver and hand-printed anodised aluminium, a light yet strong and durable material with a smooth matt finish. Constructed using traditional metalwork and printmaking techniques, and assembled with tiny silver rivets. The brooch features a secure double pin made from stainless steel.
