Mixed Border brooch

The Mixed Border brooch is an exploration of the balance between cultivation and neglect, care and abandonment, order and chaos.

Comprised of patterned aluminium, hand-screenprinted with colour, framed in the dark tones of oxidised silver, the brooch features individually formed silver flowers with gold detail and a speckling of grey faceted quartz stones. The hollow form construction makes this brooch light on cloth and comfortable to wear.

Frame measures: 50 x 80 x 6mm

Sterling silver and hand-printed anodised aluminium, a light yet strong and durable material with a smooth matt finish. Constructed using traditional metalwork and printmaking techniques, and assembled with tiny silver rivets. The brooch features a secure double pin made from stainless steel.
